Artist's StatementMy art and life have been transformed in the last two years through the introduction of plein air on site painting to my artistic practices. The freedom of this approach to art gives a good balance to the more controlled historical dramas which by necessity are created in the studio, allowing me to travel on art/painting expeditions around the world and experience new dimensions of light, form and landscape that have made me a better artist. This wider dimension/exposure has once again stimulated my interest in operating global art enterprises in both the commercial and non-commercial museum field. |
Please Note! Due to the now common practice of commercial theft of artist’s images from the internet, this site is intentionally restricted to presenting only a basic description of the artist’s works, ongoing projects and biographical data. For more specific information on the artist’s career, current and past images, current international projects and dealership enquiries please contact the artist directly by e-mailing Purchasers of art from galleries or agents should also verify the authenticity of the works with the artist, a service which is free and will protect them from work sold as Richard Dixon’s but are not, such works having recently surfaced in Arizona, New Mexico and North Carolina. |
