North Saskatchewan River Valley Art Book

Since 2005 have been creating a series of 88 plein air landscapes and 12 historical dramas of the North Saskatchewan River Valley at Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

These will be included in a full colour art book to be published in 2009/2010 and exhibited with the cooperation of the paintings' new owners at one show in the fall of 2010.

Currently there are 57 works complete and many underway with the 2009/2010 publishing date appearing to be a realistically achievable goal.

Similar books to the above are being considered regarding the western Canadian fur trade era and the Superstition Mountains area of Arizona where I will spend a portion of the next few winters on painting expeditions.

The final area of interest and production are those works that reflect the oral history, cultures and mythologies of the native peoples of western Canada and the Arctic regions. These are done on a continual basis and reflect the images presented in the oral stories of the people augments by knowledge of traditional lifestyles, clothing, artifacts and written history. These works are for general sale as well as done specifically for native bands and museums worldwide.
